Yes. It's winter. Resistance is futile

@karendarkinA gentle bit of unsolicited advice, stop wishing your life away.

This thought was triggered today as I saw yet another post on FB
wishing for summer to hurry up and get here.

Stop wishing for and "being ready for summer"

When we are in resistance to what is (winter), struggle arrives for us.

Winter is here.

In most parts of Canada or at least where I live we will be in winter until March,
with the last flakes of snow leaving us in April.

What if you sink into what is.
The cozy feel of the long deep nights.
The silence a fresh snow fall brings
The crisp orange and pink sunrises
The large blue sky when the sun is shining as the temperatures drop even further

What if you created an ease about your day
What if you had a stillness in your body which would mimic the earth,
be with the nature around you

What if you became the next level of quiet
What if you expressed your stillness through wonderful words,
either through what you read or through your own writing.

Now is the time for soft blankets, fuzzy soft socks, deep nourishing broths,
candles to lighten and soften the darkness.

Now is the time be quiet

What if you followed the season, as a being of the earth. Followed the rhythm of nature.

What in you could use stillness before the blooming time called spring?

What in you could use a bit of hibernation?
What needs quiet?

Be in what is
Be open to what is preparing to bloom
Nurture it with the darkness the earth settles into

Celebrate the light and rest in the darkness
